Christina Barrueta is an award-winning writer who has been inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame and received the Arizona Restaurant Association’s Foodist Award for Best of the Best Food Writer. She is the author of two books, Arizona Wine: A History of Perseverance and Passion and Phoenix Cooks: Recipes from the City’s Finest Chefs. Her work has been widely published in outlets such as Time Out, Men’s Health, PHOENIX, WhereTraveler, A Taste of AZ, and Phoenix Home & Garden. Christina is also an Arizona contributing editor for The Tasting Panel and for The Somm Journal, where she writes her own column, “Sonoran Scoop.” Her website, WriteOnRubee.com, has been awarded Best Food Blog by PHOENIX magazine and is an eight-time winner of Favorite Local Food Website by Arizona Foothills, which also named her 2025’s Most Influential in Valley Food. Her Instagram feed @writeonrubee was also named 2025’s Favorite Food Feed by Arizona Foothills. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
