Culture at the Centre is a comprehensive overview of the collections of Pacific Northwest Coast Indigenous art held in First Nations cultural centres and museums, provincial, municipal and university galleries, and art foundations throughout British Columbia. Published in partnership with the UBC Museum of Anthropology, this volume provides a space for museum professionals, Indigenous knowledge holders and others to share their views on what these collections mean to them and their communities. Not only does the volume offer 17 perspectives from multiple angles on the collections, but its superb photographs show artworks that have rarely been illustrated.
