“George Alfred Paginton (1901–1988) was a quiet, unassuming man who held a deep and abiding passion throughout his adult life: to paint the world around him as he saw and experienced it.”

Book Description

George Paginton, a lesser known Canadian landscape painter who was a peer of members of the Group of Seven, was determined to document the wonder of nature from coast to coast. A prolific yet very private artist, Paginton created over 1,500 oil paintings, the majority of which were never exhibited or sold commercially. George Paginton: Painting a Nation marks the introduction of his work to the Canadian canon.
