Deal Announcement: Finding American: Stories of Immigration from the 50 States
Seeking to add depth and nuance to an often contentious national conversation, documentary photographer Colin Boyd Shafer spent nine months over the course of three years on the road photographing and interviewing immigrants across the United States. Finding American: Stories of Immigration from the 50 States will be a large-format photo book featuring the portraits and voices of over 200 participants, who share stories of why they came to America, the challenges they faced along the way and upon arrival, and what their lives are like now in the country. Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, Finding American was signed by Editorial Director Michael Leyne, and will release in Fall 2023.
